Diane’s newest Spring Seasonal Collection embraces the rich taste transition from Winter to Summer, enticing the senses with earthy and crisp flavor profiles. These five special pieces are packaged in a lovely red charm box with clear window and magnetic clasp.

Strawberry Rhubarb: a ganache of dark chocolate blended with strawberry and rhubarb purees, enrobed in dark chocolate and finished with a hand-applied strawberry sprig.
Lemon Dandelion: includes two ganache layers, one of natural dandelion tea with a dash of Campari, and the other a lemon butter ganache made with lemon zest and fresh juice of a lemon. Finished with a hand-applied dandelion flower made from white chocolate and natural cocoa butter coloring.
Mint Julep Fondants: small-batch fondant made with mint and a hint of bourbon, enrobed in dark chocolate and a wisp of white chocolate.
Local Brew: a robust center with reduced stout ale, enrobed in dark chocolate and balanced with a salted pretzel imbedded in the chocolate for a three dimensional look.
Carrot Cake: a center of milk chocolate and carrot infused cream, raisins, roasted walnuts, butter, cinnamon and real vanilla, enrobed in white chocolate with a hand-applied impressionist carrot of natural vegetable colors.

Valentine’s Day is on the horizon and Diane is offering her Donna Toscana Tuscan Style® Valentine’s Day 2012 Collection. Now is the time to order her wonderful collection of five unique flavors that embody this special day and will thrill your special someone. Each box of five chocolates are packaged in a festive and sturdy red box with window and secured with a special red and white ribbon (pictured right), and include:

Rose Heart: White chocolate ganache flavored with rose oil, cardamon and roasted pistachio, enrobed in a white chocolate heart and decorated with natural red coloring.

Absinthe: All dark chocolate ganache flavored with Absinthe liquor and decorated with a hand-applied dark chocolate heart and edible 24 carat gold flakes.

Vanilla Grapefruit: milk chocolate with vanilla bean, fresh grapefruit, and Campari, enrobed in a chocolate heart and decorated with dark chocolate stripes.

Hibiscus Caramel: dark chocolate heart shell, with two layers inside (a hibiscus caramel and vanilla honey ganache), decorated with white chocolate.

Passion Fruit: dark chocolate heart with white chocolate passion fruit ganache, dark chocolate shell decorated with white chocolate stripe.

Paper Mill Playhouse Fundraiser

Paper Mill Playhouse and Kings Fine Wine and Spirits are inviting the community to their annual wine tasting fundraiser. The wine tasting benefit will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at the Paper Mill Playhouse Gallery and Grand Lobby. This year’s event will feature fine wines, artisanal cheese and decadent chocolates by Donna & Company.

Diane at Summit Wine & Food Festival

The Summit Wine & Food Festival was a sell-out event this year, featuring top chefs, numerous wine and spirits, and Diane’s extraordinary chocolates. This year, Diane offered guests a delicious sampling of favorites such as her Pistachio Brittle with Sea Salt, and some new seasonal items such as Pumpkin with Caramel, Hazelnut Honey Praline with bee pollen and Tiramisu.

Back in March of this year we mentioned a chance meeting at a Fisher House dedication ceremony that Diane had with Staff Sargeant (Ret), and Purple Heart Veteran, Dale Beatty (left in cover picture at right).

Sustenance on the Farm Dinner

Diane will be participating again this year in the Sustenance on the Farm Dinners event, proceeds of which support Farm Programs for school children at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm and Slow Food Northern NJ School Garden Programs.

Fosterfields resident farmer Rob Kibbe will provide a horse drawn farm tour. Chef Andrea Carbine will prepare an elegant farm-to-table five-course dinner centered around Fosterfields heirloom vegetables, as well as grass-fed meat and poultry, and Diane will provide dessert with her Tuscan Style chocolate perspective.

Rounding out the meal are foods from farmers and artisans based within a small radius of the farm and top-rated organic & sustainable wines that will be paired with each course provided by Opici Wines. Live music performed during the dinner.
